Events

Welcome to the Events page where you can see the type of events that we undertake and participate in.

We have a number of events which we participate in, either as a Club or as smaller parties of members.

Annual Exhibition

Our main showcase event of the year is the Annual Exhibition. This is held at Yate Heritage Centre. This year it will be open from 15th April.

BBQ
We have a barbecue each year in the summer which is always a very sociable event.

Presentation Evening
Every year we have a American Supper and Presentation Evening. This is held on our last Club evening before Christmas every year.

The Presentations are for the award of the Bi-monthly and Annual Competition cups and shields. See some pictures from the evening.

Evening/Day Outings

We have evenings and days out where we can take photographs. The results of these will be often appear as competitions entries or during Members’ Evenings.

Young Photographer of the Year 2007

This year we organised our first competition for youngsters from the local schools. We had a good response and were presented to various images for our judges to ponder over.

The winners and their friends and family were invited to a prize-giving evening. The prizes were presented by Tony Worobiec who was, with his wife Eva, there to give a talk on their book “Ghosts of the Wilderness”.

Barry and Fiona Senior

The Club welcomed Barry and Fiona in January.
Dr Barry Senior (FRPS) is currently the President of the RPS.
Fiona Senior (FRPS), his wife, is a professional photographer shooting children’s fashion and advertising.
